AIDA from Taverna

Step-by-step instructions for running an AIDA workflow from Taverna

Following this example will reproduce the ‘disease discovery’ AIDA demo that was shown at ISMB/ECCB2007:

  • Download, install, and run Taverna
  • File -> Open workflow location…Paste this URL in: http://adaptivedisclosure.org/AIDAToolkit/BioAID_DiseaseDiscovery.xml
  • File -> Run workflow…
  • Select query_string (left, under Input Document)
  • Click “New Input”
  • Replace “Some input data goes here” with your favorite query, for example: “EZH2″
  • Scroll (ALL THE WAY) down to the bottom and click on the “Run workflow” button.
  • Bring main Taverna window back to front (click on it) to view the results.
  • Click on the results tab to view the results.

The above workflow was part of a demonstration of the AIDA toolkit at ISMB/ECCB2007 by Marco Roos and M. Scott Marshall. Video of the last 16 minutes of the demo is available here.
